It is still growing slowly and the bunch to the tip of the bud is 5ft - with only 4ft to go to the ground! What do you think - will it make it? The fruits are so closely packed that I have to pull the old bracts free or else they stay jammed in, and with our humidity attract mould and fruit flies.

I have seen and eaten 1000 fingers before, but it was no where near the side of what yours is. WOW!!

Do the local's still think your crazy?

They are dessert bananas just a little small. They are sweet I liked them and should really pick up a 1000 finger now.

It is now longer than this and is below the window, as these were taken a week or so ago before we caught the flu. The different styles of fruit are interesting - at the top, spikey - in the middle, fat and arranged horizontally - then they change to a downward spiral.
