Second hand - first finger looks plump, the rest look like pencils.![]() Side view ![]() Third hand showing, all look like pencils. ![]() First hand of bananas - looked plump when first open. ![]() So my questions are: Will the pencils fill in or fall off on their own? Will the pencils fill in if pollenated properly via paintbrush pollination? Are they just the product of a poor water sucker? Am I just mental or over thinking? ![]() Will more fertilizer make the next hands plump? ![]() Thank you in advance for any newbie advise.

When did the flower open and when did the first hand show? I was told to write the date on the p-stem when the first hand shows. From there it usually takes about 6 month to plump up and ripe for the bananas in my area ( faster in more tropical areas and depending on varieties).

No worries. Plan on some banana cream pie for Christmas. Until then the bananas will plump up and ripen. Congratulations on your first bloom and fruits!
BTW: what kind is it? |

That's what I want to know. Maybe Orinoco I was told. If anyone could tell me what pictures to take so I could get a good ID I would appreciate the help.
The flowers look Orinoco. They were taken as mutts last year.
