Default Storing Banana's?

Hi, I know people have stored green tomatoes in newspaper in a dark place all fall and well into the winter successfully. My Q? is has anyone tried this with Green Banana's? If so what type and for how long? Thanks.. :v)

I am interested in the answers you get to this question. All I know is the best place to store ripe ones is in my tummy, then off to the freezer for banana bread when overripe. :Yum Yum:
