I tried taking a pup from my musa lasiocarpa but accidently cut through the bottom of the stem just before it joins to the root ball. I dipped the bottom of the stem into some clonex in the hope that it might generate roots. I was wondering if anyone had ever tried this before and had success? The cut is looking ok today and i've got it in a humidity tent to keep it moist. I'm
not holding out as from what i've read the pup needs a little bit of root to grow but I thought i'd give it a go as I have rooted many plants before using this technique. I can't find much info on the net about my problem so I thought i'd ask the experts?
