Hi I was wondering if the common grocery store banana in the United States is grand nain, Williams, or dwarf cavendish.

Depends of the brand, but Gran Nain or Dwarf Cavendish.

I have read that Chiquita branded Bananas are all Grand Nains. That is why Grand Nain plants are sometimes called "Chiquita".
