Re: question about Ensete Ventricosum
I don't know much about E. ventricosum, but I thought they had a red midrib? Maybe that's glauca, or is it glaucum? As I said, I don't really know about these...
Anyhow, cool plants!!!

Re: question about Ensete Ventricosum
They may flower shorter, but not guaranteed. They will generally flower in containers though, and when they do that they can be can be small, though they may take longer to do so.

Re: question about Ensete Ventricosum
Wow, you're like some kind of banana expert, Gabe!
I have seeds for Ensete Ventricosm, but was unable to get them to pop. Then again...who knows how old they were! Looks like one cool plant though. : ) |

Re: question about Ensete Ventricosum
Maybe Gabe will see this and comment on the relationship between E. Ventricosum and E. Maurelii. I sent a Maurelii to a member here last year since I had to many and it promptly " reverted " to green. I've heard of some red variety bananas doing this and now this particular Ensete as well?
What gives... a stress response? |
