![]() Well I just got done clearing a large space for new bananas, and i have 2 larger spaces at each end. My question is, out of Orinoco, Mysore, Misi Luki, and Ice cream, which will pup the most? The spaces are roughly 12x10

![]() Both Orinoco and Ice cream pup like mad for me. The tall Orinoco has about 11 pups and the Ice Cream has about 9 (it's raining hard so I am not going outside to count). So far I have only tasted the Orinoco (which were delicious when fully ripe - soft and puddingey) so can't help you on the taste test. After having 90lbs ripen in 2 weeks I have the opinions of my gardeners, watchmen, friends and neighbours who say the Orinoco were delicious, but not so good if not fully ripe. They must be soft and slightly black is good.

![]() I only have a mysore and I bought it becasue it was tropical looking about a year and a half back. I didn't baby it at all..it maybe was even a little neglected (gasp). It pupped like crazy and grew FAST. It is still shooting out pups and the first two pups are already almost the size of the mama. I didn't know any better in the begining so I would cut the pups out and I still have lots. I heard the mysore is a yummy one but I can't say yet, mine are all green.
I can't compare it to anything but in a short amount of time I have a big tree with bananas on it and two good size pups one that is close to flowering and there are pups around the whole thing. I have dug out probably 5. Jen |

![]() Thanks for the fast replies guys. I had a hunch that ice cream and orinoco would be strong candidates, but i didn't expect mysore. Now, as soon as my blister heals I can get back to work in the garden!
![]() As for the pics.... my computer's uncooperative as usual, It'll freeze on uploads. I promise I'll keep tryin though! ![]()

![]() In three years one of my Ice Cream plants pupped to fill an area 8'x8' and I cut pups from it all the time. I have two other Ice Cream Matts that are the same age with only 4 or 5 plants in each .
