![]() Help
I just went out and counted 21 bunches in various stages of production , I can only eat, freeze for smoothies and give away so many.. My Ice cream is the culprit it is in banana overdrive as I have a large clump with 11 bunches in various stages , I have never seen this many and November is when IC seems to like to fruit for me . Im happy as I was trying to cut down the clumps to a manageable size but this is crazy ... I also have 15 pineapples although I freeze them for use thru out the year .. What do you do with your excess fruit ? Last edited by redswe : 07-27-2015 at 07:54 AM. |

![]() If you are not interested in selling, there are charities that would love the fruit. During the summer months I usually have more than I can sell, so I donate them to a charitable organization that feeds people every day. They are usually extremely happy when I come.

![]() Dry the bananas. Banana chips are great! Pineapples make great jam or juice. What kind of pineapple is it?

![]() When I have too many bananas here in the lower Keys, I trade them for produce at the local organic produce store on Big Pine Key.
