Harvested my patupi bunch yesterday. The fingers are not completely filled but I had a couple split, some are yellowing, the plant is in decline, and temps are dropping so decided to pull the plug. Bunch has been hanging for 49 days from the last female flower opening on September 24th.

The fingers are mostly green and still solid so I cannot provide a taste report. The bunch came in at 18 lbs which is underfilled.

As a reminder this plant was pulled out of the ground by Tropical Storm Claudette in June so its been through a lot! Haha.

Patupi on the right knocked down by TS Claudette.

Patupi puts out a leaf a week on average. It doesn't appear to be particularly faster than my Namwa or other plants. At this point the pstem is up to 45 inches in height. Pstem is starting to get that "substantial" look to it. 12 leaves out plus a cigar leaf showing. techzpod download mobdro

welcome back brother. glad to hear from you again.

i bought earlier this summer a patupi from the sddarkman619 a patupi tc.

under the tutelage of pr-giants i am starting it out using crushed gravel. i have done this with a number of small bananas and i had very good results doing this. just lost one an aeae. the patupi is the first tc washing all the soil from it before planting in the gravel. it took a couple of weeks to start growing again. its the one in the pink aquarium rock.

anything crushed and about 3/8 of an inch, not uniform in size and not round. i am using aquarium rock, lava rock and crushed sandstone. i have not seen much difference between any of them. in the pics, the white looking rock is crushed sandstone.
