I found 1 pup on each of my cavendishes today! not sure what to do with them but its kind of exciting!

Wish my little cavendish would continue to grow this winter, but mine are still small.

You should probably keep them as followers so that you can get more bananas the following year. But you can dig them up and transplant them if you want when they get big enough. If any of them are water pups get rid of them. The one in the picture looks like a sword pup to me though.

Im not sure how to tell the difference between a sword and a water! and which picture looks like the sword? those are two different trees!

Well I guess it depends on how you see it. You could separate them and keep them as ornamentals. But if it's bananas you're after, shouldn't you separate them? In my case, I'm going to get rid of them.

There are many very wise and experienced people on here on this forum that have said once a water pup grows some you cannot tell the difference. Unless you have a need to be selective why throw it away? I don't throw mine away!!! They are actually the better looking of the babies anyway. To each his own.
