This are so cool looking! I am going to have to add one to the collection next year!
The leafs do not seem kind of skinny vs wide like the DB, does that mean the plant might need something? Just asking because I have a Williams that is making only skinny leafs. |

Pauly,
That AeAe is perfect! Are you going to risk it outside this year and get some real size. I know that LV weather might be a little tough....

My younger Ae Ae has narrow leaves like that but my big one (both potted in the greenhouse) has very wide leaves. The big one was 5' tall already when I got it so I don't remember if it had narrow leaves when it was smaller.

well I'm not sure. i really needs repoting. its just so cold out side i'd have to move it out to repot it to a 55gl container or if i get ambisous i mite build a really super sized planter for it . i thought if i do that then it mite stand a Chance of fruiting. i have a place were i grew that IC last year on my back patio were its totally shaded. i thought i mite put it out there until the temps get hot.

don't know about that my nanas grow awfully slow compared to other peoples but considering i have 15% humidity and water thats 7 to 7.5 ph i think i do OK with them will just have to see if they ever fruit at least there starting to pup which people told me probably wouldn't happen in a pot

O Cassie you have no idea i look at them evey time i go up and down the staris living here in Las Vegas i get so starved for lush green things. living amongst life like that invigorats my spirt and brings me a sence of balince that im sorry to say is a bit wobbly in my life here the friction of every day life can be so harsh and upseting i look on my Bananas as my oacis in the desert (Kinda Biblical dont you think) lol its good i didn't have to wander for 40 years to find them LOL

That was pure poetry!!! Nothing like a beautiful thing, be it plant, animal or a person to lift the spirit.
