Default Instead of tossing this

Instead of tossing this slightly variegated dwarf namwa it was cleaned and potted for propagation.

I used to leave any roots I could save on my corms until you showed us that you clean them to propagate. Do you use any fungicide at all?

The use of a fungicide is really dependent on what I'm trying to accomplish but in this situation I'll be using a pure sulfur powder to promote plant callus on all freshly exposed corm tissue. But when I'm using the plant callus as the propagation material I don't use a fungicide.

Nice save—cleaning it up and potting for propagation is way better than tossing it.

That's a great save! I know the feeling of wanting to just give up on a plant that looks a little rough around the edges. Sometimes, though, a little care and attention can really bring them back to life. It's almost like you have to kick the buddy in the plant world and give it a little nudge to get it thriving again! Good luck with the propagation – I bet it'll be beautiful.
