I think all depends. I've seen some posted where the flower is out @ what looks like 10ft or less. The text book version is a whole lot taller than that.. :^)

Mine flowering in Hawaii for the first time (first time flowering for banana plants is usually always the shortest) is about 8ft.

My new 1000 fingers grew to about 10ft of trunk and fruited in 10 months last year. Just had to cut down the replacement trunk as the excessively wet spring had caused the trunk to rot, so I won't know how tall the next replacement will be until later in the year - but the composted stem looked like being about the same size.
