First of all, if this is in the wrong forum please move it. Second, I would like to purchace a banana that would be in a pot. Which should I get? The Grand Nain or the dwarf cavendish. And where should I get it from?

Dwarf Cavendish is smaller and will grow and fruit in a container easier than Grand Nain. They are the most common banana variety you can buy, you can start by checking local garden centers, if they carry any bananas then Dwarf Cavendish will likely be one of them (you can sometimes find them in the house plant sections of Home Depot and Lowes even), and you if can't find any there then there are many online dealers that sell them. Going-Bananas.com is always a good one.

We believe last one we bought from HomeDepot are mislabeled. They are labeled Hardy Bananas, but

look like Dwarf or a regular Cavendish there is no red midrib and leaves are wider than our Basjoo about same height. |
