Default Garden as of July the 4th!

Today brings gentle rain, that started yesterday, and continued through the night.
I managed to step outside for a brief moment while the rain was taking a short coffee break!!Here is sidewalk in front of the front porch.

Entering front yard from the driveway to a swing that sets under a wisteria vine.

This is the sidewalk, parallel to the street that runs in front of the house.

This is the sidewalk leading to the front porch from the street,

This is my top half of my driveway up near the house, that I use as a patio for my plants, because I don't have enough front yard for them, and no room in the back yard either.

This is what you see, standing right in the middle of the front yard!

One of my favorite Hibiscuses blooming this morning, called Mirayha!

Hope you enjoyed a brief tour of my tropical gardens!

KC,yes, several little greenhouses, and one large one, plus garden room and sunroom attached to the house, and they are full through the winter time.

JB,yes half and half, used to be almost 90% in the ground, but age and bad back has finally caught with me!!!LOL
They do grow better and faster in the ground, then you have to dig them up and repot for winter, but a week of work in October, just isn't enough time to get it all done in time, before I go back to work.

Thanks everyone,we've had lots of heat and rain.plus a couple times of feeding these babies has really paid off,in fast growth.

Still have all of July,August,September and half of October of growing time, and I can hardly wait until see how much more growing they will do!

Rain has brought out first Tiger lily blooms

And plumerias that smell like sun tan lotion.

Thanks for the compliment!
My sons Mother in Law lives in Buffalo, and I know the amount of snow you have to deal with, from some of the pics I've seen, those lake effect snows must really be tough to get around in the winter time, not to mention the cold wind!

Wow. Thats an amazing garden. Where do they all go when winter comes?? Everything looks very healthy and together it looks like a real tropical paradise. If the ocean wasnt a thousand miles away from you then I could mistake your yard for one on a carribean island easily!
Thanks for sharing

Thanks for all the kind words!
Big bird is in a 30 gallon container,it's roots have broke several containers before repotting into a 30 gal.
It has not bloomed yet,and now about 10 years old.
I had to separate its pups lastime,as they were huge, and they are growing in 15 gallon pot, with several pups of its own.

Cold Re: Garden as of July the 4th!

Yup we do get snow TropicMan, from time to time Luckily we don't get those big funnels you guys get. Right now we're getting a heat wave and I hope my Brugmansias don't decide to drop their flowers. My Iochroma is bloomin away, and my bananas are doing their thing. I think all the other plants I have are doing well, also. HOpefully this heat doesn't last too long. At least I have tomatos on the vine growin.

P56,
Yeah we get the big T's from time to time,in fact I had one jump right over me back in the early 60's as I was plowing a field,,back in the late 90's one left a big path about mile south of me,took out several miles of south Wichita.
Were still having lots of rain and cooler weather, but the heat will be back next weekend, but the humidity is a killer here!!!
