Default ebay nanners

Anyone crazy enough to buy bananas off of ebay that are shipped from thailand? If so, did it work out for you? I see some varieties that are uncommon around here, but they come with a hefty price tag. I'm more curious than anything. I don't think I'm ready to shuck out $70+ for a nanner that has to be shipped that far and might die along the way.

I seen those too. I'm a little concerned about the distance and customs. Some of the names may be different but could they still be common bananas? That's just a few questions I have. I have been tempted to try though.

Don't about where you are but I checked into this a few years ago and to bring them into Canada you need BOTH an import permit AND the phyto-certificate......not worth the hassle
