Dwarf Cavendish Pups

I have a nice sized Dwarf cavendish that is currently putting out a lot fo pups. Would it be best to remove the pups to keep the mother plant healthier and larger or let them grow??

I was told it is best to cut back to one (or at the most two) pups for the healthiest plants. I have some Dwarf Cavendish bananas ,and they seem to put out a lot of pups. I keep cutting them back.

You don't cut them back, you cut them off. You have to separate their growing points completely from the mother corm or else they will grow back. Or, you could just kill them by piercing the growing point.

As in 45 degree angle cut off from the mother ship?

45 degrees is probably too much, you'll take too much of the mother corm. You want to get a little bit of it to give the pup an extra boost of growth (if you plan on repotting it). I guess it depends on how deep the growing point is on the mother corm, but this diagram explains it pretty well:

If you plan on cutting them off and repotting them, you might also want to wait until they get to a good enough size.
