Mail dozen cultivars that will produce 150 lbs of fruit per inflorescence ...

"There are about a dozen cultivars that will produce 150 lbs (gross) of fruit per inflorescence in a sub-tropical or near-tropical environment, with about the same gestation period given equal environmental factors."

Does anyone have the list?

Holy Moly!
150 pounds?
I thought 50 pounds was the norm!
You would need a forklift
or an engine hoist to bring that down!
I dont think any p-stem can hold that up!

They are probably all cultivars of Cavendish grown under cover. The biggest bunch grown, according to Guinness, was on the Canary Islands and it was 287 lbs. I get excited when I get over 60 lbs.

Who are you quoting? I hope it's not me. I could come up with a half-dozen.

I feel like that list would be subjective. As in my area, I dont think anyone will ever get that much!

With the winters you have, you should get excited that you survived winter. How many months do you have to protect your plants from the cold?

Yes, that's your quote.

If you can only remember 6 of the 12 cultivars that produce 150 lb. of fruit per bunch in the subtropics, that still would be great info to share. I'm sure that the members growing in the subtropics would be appreciative of as much of that list as possible.
