Cannibalism?

Hello all,
I have heard that banana skins cut up and left in a bottle of water will rot and produce a potassium rich feed which i can give modestly to my basjoo.
Has anyone tried it? It seems to me to be a good idea in principle if I can stomach the cannibalism.
I'd be grateful for anyone's thoughts.

Just chop up the skins, leaves, and pstem and spread around the mat. ... Hard wood ashes are a good source too.

toss some grass clippings, tree leaves and it in 5 gallon bucket. should give you a good concoction.

Add some sugars to it and let it ferment and we'll throw a party.

A number of posts and threads address compost teas and its uses.
And a Youtube search will reveal a trove of information on how to use and make it.
I have made some in the past and it does work.
I think cannibalism is ok as long as you can dip it in ranch dressing.

and so if I wanted to make a tea [strickly organic] what would you recommend? say in a 5 gallon bucket?

Use a whole box of 24 count family size Luzianne tea bags and about 5 cups of sugar. ... I like mine with ice please.
