	  Said "Welcome to Bananas" 4 Times |  BONSI Bananas IN Oregon NO JOKE hey all my mom has had these banana Plants forever. well when we move she keeps pups there origionally from Panama 30+ yrs ago so we have moved alot . In NJ they where 18 ft tall dug up pups to move to oregon 12 ft tall Dug up pups for alaska in pots Summer 8 ft tall Dug up more pups now back in oregon these pups are 3 ft tall 18 yrs old and Have been doing well no fruit since her flowers keep dropping off ( may just be the floweing type) any way she also has them in 2 g pots . what gives is this Because there always indoors Lack of room to grow or what ? she drives me nuts over them Tammy |

It sounds like she has dug pups whenever she moved, so the current pups would not be 18 years old...right?  Since a banana pseudostem dies after it is through flowering, I'm not quite sure I understand when you say "no fruit since her flowers keep dropping off."   Just tell her to plant them outside. |

I was thinking the same thing ive tried growing for 4 yrs now and have had some luck but none with fruits . the artic frost killed My bananas this yr and the one with the bloom pouts . Tammy PS i go to portland alot and have a few other tropicals like plumeria citrus and Palms . how about you ? |
