Have a pups leaf that is shading out my mother plants flower with mini nanners,so should I trim the leaf so they get sun?

Not an expert, though I got my first nanner plant about 40 years ago, I would think that the amount of sun that gets to the plant, as a whole, is more important than what gets to the specific fruit stem.
