Yes I have heard of them being the king of plants. It is because every part of the plant can be used for something. i.e. pseudostem for fabrics, fruit and flower for eating, leaves for cooking, etc.

One thing I can't stand is artificial banana flavored stuff. But yeah I like bananas because they be eaten raw and come with their own packaging (the peel).

You've never tried a Dirty Banana?

Dirty Banana recipe rating 9.3/187 votes

1 oz creme de bananas
1 oz creme de cacao
1 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Blend six ice cubes with ice-cream in a blender until smooth. Add liqueurs and continue blending, again until smooth. Add more ice-cream if needed (for milk-shake consistency). Pour into a highball glass, and serve.

Hemp can't be king if it's illegal to have in most states.

Yeah, unfortunately. Although industrial hemp contains almost no psychoactive compounds. It can be used to make paper, clothing, fiber, oil, resins, building materials, biofuel, and even biodegradable plastics. It doesn't require pesticides, it improves the soil, and the crop is ready in just 120 days. I could see it becoming our country's most important and useful crop if we were to make full use of it. There is no reason why it should be illegal to grow.

Yes you can drink a banana

1 1/2 oz light rum
1 tbsp triple sec
1 banana
1 1/2 oz lime juice
1 tsp sugar
1 cherry

Combine all ingredients (except for the cherry) with 1 cup crushed ice in an electric blender. Blend at a low speed for five seconds, then blend at a high speed until firm. Pour contents into a champagne flute, top with the cherry, and serve.

Banana smoothies are excellent. I like to throw some Black Mission figs in with a banana, coconut water, and some vanilla yogurt to make a great tasting smoothie.
