Default Moving basjoo

Hi guys, I have a basjoo growing outside by my back door and would like to move it over by a new water garden that I am building.
It was about 5 ft. tall before it froze back. Should I wait to move it until it comes out of dormancy or move it now? Don't want to screw it up as this is the only one I have at this time. Before it froze back I did notice it had a small pup. I wonder if it made it through this winter? Thanks in advance
