Default What is it?

Hi,
Recently I've seen banana, but no idea how to call it.
Do you have any idea?
I suspect that this is musa balbisiana.

Hello WojtekS,
I am certainly not a banana identification expert, but I agree with you that those plants look very much like Balbisiana. Two of the most unique features of Balbisiana are its very narrow sword like leaves and very thin pseudostems. Also, they tend to grow very tall and wiry, and have a more blue-green color to them. Naturally, they have small, densely seeded fruit. They could also be a relative of bananas, but it's hard to tell. Hopefully someone with more experience can give their vote! Best wishes and hello from the USA!

Just looked at your blog, you have a great variety of bananas, I am impressed. Just one thing, how come they are all so small and it's already September? Are all these first year seedlings?

Moze nastepny rok bedzie lepszy.

Pozdrawiam.

Ok now that we have exchanged our welcomes in our native tounge I guess we should go back to English since it is an English speaking forum sorry to get you off this track earlier. From what I see you might have better luck getting fruit as you are in a higher zone then I am. Good Luck
