If I was going to hazard a 'very' premature guess, I'd say Blue Java based on the grey/waxy look of the underside of the leaf, but it really is too soon to tell. The lack of responses probably just means the same thing - its too early to tell. Not many young plants exhibit characteristics distinct enough to make a determination of the type. |

As a general rule of thumb, the varieties with closed petiole canals, which is usually indicative of lots of B genes (Musa balbisiana), do best of the edible bananas in cooler than tropical places, e.g., S. Louisiana. That plant should grow well for you, whatever it is.
