Default Do you have any idea?

I got this one way back in I think mid June of last year. The tag said ensete, which as we can see it isn't. anyone know what it is? maybe a dwarf? It's growing at a good pace considering it's mid March

The reason I think it is dc and not grand naine is that there is basically no red left on the pstem. My gn is a bit larger and still has lots of red on the pstem, especially if I peel back an old leaf sheath.

I appreciate the more detailed information on the identification because I have no idea how you all came to the conclusion of DC. I have about 6 varieties of bananos here on my property and can't tell what they are until I see the final fruits. The locals argue all day about the different names for them and since none of them can read or write I have little faith in their opinions. Super nice people though, just not rocket scientists. Bananas for the fruit and Bananos for the plant is their way of saying it here, all in Spanish of course.
