hay colorado welcome from florida...cold up there??hahaha denver?greeley??golden??where?? ...well drained soil..feed well only when active growth,say 70 and up..basjoo are nice to look at but not to eat..mulch is good...keep a 10 - 15 inch free space around plant..when active water well and deep..and the most important thing to remember is to enjoy them..also try atleast one edible verity,,you might try a dwarf in a large container...you will need to bring in colder weather but rewards are worth it..fresh nanners that you grew..
