Right on .
I have the Fish all Named My African Grey loves to watch Cartoons or Disney Movies and Finding Nemo Is one she adores . I get a new fish i ask her to name it . We have Nemo as One of our Clown fish. Babe as the Other . the tangs are Yellow and Yellow LOL I know but she really gets into Naming things its so cool I have learning DVDs for children and have let both my birds watch them ..they love to argue and talk Figaro makes up her own songs and Baby gets upset when someone says a bad word since baby is my age he was a rescue and figaro was given to me as a 6 week old Baby who needed some help. If it wasnt for Baby my Double yellow headed amazon I too would have lost figaro.. they are house mates meaning they are always together baby asks when i hold figaro " Where is MY bird" and when i say with me he says "There are Places in this world for women like you LOL" Yes even the laugh..Tammy |

When i was 7 yrs old My father and i went to alaska .
Just the 2 of us for the first 6 months at the time i was the only one who could go with him and i could already cook up some food so i Got to go. while dad was working (Army Base) and gas station I would go Exploring one day i came upon a small River 15 ft wide and 2-3 deep but lots of trout . I also seen the sign NO angeling. So i casted straight out . Lost lots of hooks due to the shollow rocky Bottom too. One day a man came upon my fishing and asked if i could read the sign i said Yes It says NO Angeling.. then he smirked and asked if i knew what it ment . SO I told him it ment you had to cast straight out and not at an Angel..OK no laughing i was 7.. OK laugh its funny . well he showed me all the hooks he had and they where all mine cause dad and i would write our names on the back so brothers and mom would have to give them back if they used them. well the guy took me 2 blocks from where i was fishing and wow what a Fish Hatchery it was . told me if i wanted my hooks back id have to help him raise some Salmon and Rainbow trout and he would pay me 3 dollars and hr and Give me a ride home every night . so i agreed the Next day i went to work and he gave me a dictionary too. we milked the salmon and put eggs in the Hatching container . this went on for 3 months of watching and writting what was going on including hatch dates and when i reloaded the water . soon that Job came to and end and the man Mr Martin got me another Job at the Anchorage Zoo. i worked there 3 months and Got paid 4.00 an hr Plus Lunch and sometimes id even get to get dad in. one day they asked if i really wanted to help out OF course i love animals and my dog was back here in oregon. so they called dad he came up and they talked for about 1 hr Or maybe it just seemed that way. Dad agreed but left it up to me in a small shoe box was a tiny Black animal the size of a pinky. well i was told it was a baby polar bear and a man brought it in and had found the mother Dead in the artic . well string feeding was a chore but we got it done all i had to do once the bear turned 3 months old was say Binki hed Come running i taught him how to play in the water and would have a blast with him i got him back to the Zoo when school started and they asked what i named Him and i hadnt named him so i said He comes to Binki..thats the Story Hope you enjoyed it ..here is a link to the anchorage Zoo and the polar Bear Cam. No Binki Died 5 yrs ago .. Natural Death but was almost put down in 199+
Not sure of actuall date . but a Women climbed over a fence 4 ft tall then went over another fence sat down by his cage and started to eat a sandwich.. Of course Binki desided he wanted some grabbed her leg and took the sandwich . Now mind you she was in the wrong area acrossed 2 no tresspassing fences and they where going to put him down .. Talk about Angry i definatly was and got ahold of the local Hospital . got her on phone and she did the right thing she called it off. I told her from the looks of her hair from behind we had the same hair coloring and that if they put binki down i would be in New zealand soon to return the favor . I cant have my own kids so Binki was one Very special Bear to me . Tammy |

Binki Out lived most Zoo Polarbears by 15 yrs . If you check out the web cam you will see a river runs threw the Cage .
In the summer the Salmon run up threw that stream and the bears do get to eat some salmon roe. they dont eat the whole salmon but once in awhile they will . too Bad i couldnt of stayed in AK as that is where my heart is . from what is known ( very Little) about Polar Bears Binki did well in Captivity . even though he was not raised on Nateral polar bear milk from the get go we gave him High Quality Milk from a Momma Grizzley at the zoo.she was sleeping and also hand raised she had her cub and enough milk for 3 but we didnt get to use it until binki was already 4 weeks old . befor that it was fresh goats milk from a mountain goat who was very Arnery to get it from so i was not allowed to go near her at all . she wasnt mean just liked to Head butt any one who was in her sights ..
