Pinwheel Newbie from Lizard Lick, NC

Howdy All,

Living in Lizard Lick, NC (just east of Raleigh) and new to banana plant growing. Bought an ice cream plant online last year and had it in the ground by July. Winter came and I followed some YouTube advice cutting the plant down to the ground, dumping a LOT of leaves on top then covered with tarp.

Uncovered April 1st this year and all looked dead as a door knob....however, a week later had a couple pups coming up. The main stalk never did anything but did get 9 pups which I transplanted 6 (3 died in the transplant).

Loving what I'm learning......... and now I'm off to post on the maintenance board as I got me some brown spots!

Patsy
