Default Newbie in East Texas

My name is Joy. We live on the family farm in East Texas. I'd like to learn how to grow edible bananas. My Pawpa used to know how but I was too young to learn at the time.

Holy Mother of PEARL you have a lot of different types of bananas!!!! I got one at the Master Gardener's sale but Fred over watered it and it's died back. I'm going to see if it regrows this Spring.

Yea the addiction takes over quickly. Lol. So far All my verities are growing great with help during the winter. I use a hoophouse and also individual cover on some. this year the lowest it has been is 28F so it probably wasn't even needed this year. I'm still new to bananas also. I hope to get my first fruit this year. Other than Orinoco. Your welcome to PM me anytime.
