In San Diego, probably just put it to the ground...

I'm a bit jealous of your growing in San Diego you should probably add a bit of fertilizer after giving the new plantings time to settle in. Check out webebananas.com and click on "growing tips". Jon from Encanto farms is a member here and was helpful to me when I first joined and was doing some research. The best advice I could give is to get them in to as large a pot as you're comfortable handling. You can always ask any specifics here as well. Good luck.

Hey thanks for the info Mr. Bob.. Im going to Check out webebananas.com. I can use all the knowledge i can get. Im a idiot thought because i repotted them when i first got them, and i dont think the Ornata is going to make it. I should have waited a few weeks before repotting, i think they were to young to be going through that kind of shock. The Veluntina is looking strong though, so hopefully it continues to grow. I am going to posted some before and after pics soon

Probably the best growers here got that way by killing a few along the way( a lot in my case). Celebrate the successes and don't give up on the ornata till it's a hole in the ground.

I always say...'what mama doesn't know can't hurt her.' Or, for your case...what the landlord doesn't know can't hurt em! You could maybe even talk to them about it and plant it out back or something with permission if you wanted to be all rule-following and what-have-you (not really my style, though).

Welcome to the site! I hope you enjoy it here, learn a lot and have all your questions answered. Don't be shy! Everyone is really nice!
