I'm So Glad To Find This Forum!
I live in Florida, near Tampa and have two Truly Tiny Musa Banana plants that grow slow. One has a lot of leaves and it lives in the house by a west window, and the other is very tiny and right now lives on the lania (back porch) and is doing much better.
I'm retired and thought I would try and grow house bananas, it's fun. I love to have plants in the house and I have 2 scheffleras, a dracaena, aloe, cinnamon tree, and a norfolk pine. I hope to find out a lot about the tiny musa.

Welcome to the forum! If you have room in the ground outdoors, you can definitely try to plant some bananas there, Tampa is a great climate for bananas and you will definitely see some fruit!
I've had tiny musa before and they dont really seem to make fruit, but they are beautiful bananas for foliage and do really well in pots.

Re: I'm So Glad To Find This Forum!
We lived in Punta Gorda, FL for 18 years and Port Charlotte for 4 years and had bananas. I might try to grow some here. They like to be next to the house. I used to make banana bread and that was fun. Never knew which kind I had though. They do have a tendency to take over, but I think I could control them.
For the last two years here, we have bad winters for Florida. Got down into the 20's and that is unusual. Froze my papayas, oranges, grapefruit, and flowers. But I'll see if I can find some and plant them, will let you know.
