Hi Bananafreaks! ;-)

I'm Jerry, also a Bananafreak, but also a Palmfreak. I love all Tropical plants btw.
I'm 41 years old and I live in Holland, Europe.
I was born here, but originally my dad is from Turkey and my mom is from the Moluccas, a group of Islands in the eastern part of Indonesia, near New Guinea and near Australia.
I got my love for tropical plants from my Mom, because she came from a tropical area.

I'm happy to be a member here and I'm looking forward to take a further look at this nice site. :-)
So maybe I'll talk to you guys later. ;-)

Welcome from a not so sunny south wales, uk. I too love all tropicals, nanas being my fave.

Welcome to the forums! I'm relatively new to growing but my banana, citrus and strawberries are doing great!

Banana's are very interesting and fastgrowing plants.
I am growing Banana's for 4 years now and I still learn from my own experiences and from others on site's like this.
I have in my House a few Dwarf Cavendishes and in my Tropical garden I have 1 Musella Lasiocarpa, 1 Musa Basjoo and 1 Ensete Ventricosum Maurelli. :-)
I bought them as a plant, but I also try to get seedlings out of seed, but this didn't work for me the first time...my Snowbanana and Musa Sikkimensis Red Tiger seeds didn't come out, sadly...
I'll try again this winter. Canna's will come out easily though, altough they are not Banana's but a relative. ;-) I have them also in my garden.

Good luck with growing Bananas and learn from the experiences from other people on this site!
