Well I found some banana's, and believe not some are caged like the pic below..
There are 2 bunches in this cage only got one decent pic.. Not many on a bunch..

Some are not caged and are cutoff..

They do like their palms and Bird of Paradise here.. Many of them are caged so they don't fly away.. lol That is all for now.. :^)

Just knock on the door and ask if they want you to weed their beds. Free nanners, er, I mean free those poor bananas and give them a good home. I'll take 2,TYVM.

#1 That's not poor.. You should see some of the other uncaged Nanna's I found. I Believe the wind really does a number on them down here.. Mostly just a stem w/ no leaves..
#2 I don't have no more room.. :^)

Well I can say several things about Galveston.. People like low Maint plants for the most part..
I didn't see one Papaya Growing or one trying to be sold.. I wish I would have found one..
I did see more Banana stems w/ only a leaf or 2 coming into view.. I think winter even beat them to the stem down there..
After their last hurricane the trolley system went down.
The Hurricane (Ike) knocked off most of the hardwoods on the Isle many of which are now carvings of various objects.. I believe there are 10 all together.. the Plumeria Flower carvings were pretty cool.. :^)
