Mitchel, it sounds like you've done a lot of boarding. Pro or just fun? |

Welcome aboard, Seaner! If it had been anything but an Almost deck, I'd say good trade - but then again a banana is a gift that keeps on giving....
What kind of dirt is it in? Nanners do best in soil that has good drainage and doesn't become muddy and compacted - you might need to add coir or peat to your mix. |

Thanks! I spent hours, last night, looking around here. This place is a virtual world encyclopedia of plants. Translation, I'm impressed! A lot friendlier than some other sites I checked into. That's a really sweet avatar! Fire poi?

! Have to admit, I like the Torey Pudwill deck better but that's just for looks. Really nice to meet other fellow skateboarders!Ecuador? You must a lot about bananas. Sweet! Dirt? It's still in the same pot it came in, full of muddy, compacted dirt. Looks healthy right now but it could be a long winter. Mix? I'd definitely appreciate any info I can get on mixing good banana soil! It may sound silly but I think I really like that plant and I'd like to see it do really good. BTW, what's "koppen-geiger"? Ecuador - and everything I know about edibles, I learned here. When I landed in Loja three years ago, I took on 300 banana plants at the place I was living, and I knew nothing. Talk about jumping in headfirst!
I ride a handmade 10-ply longboard of tropical red cedar with a cinnamon core. Smoooooth. ![]() |

! But on a much smaller scale, one banana plant. I can get some info here at home but not as much as I need. Swapping for the banana was total impulse but they are great looking tropical plants. And after reading a particular thread, it seems to add that home grown bananas taste a whole lot better than the ones in the store! That's definitely worth a shot !Handmade 10-ply!? Sounds like an awesome deck! Cinnamon? How smooth is that on impact? |
