Hiya Blue Bananas

I am interested in buying Blue Bananas. I heard they are grown in Hawaii but I live in Ohio. I searched and seem I am coming up with nothing.

Would anyone know where I could purchase some?

Thanks in Advance!

Welcome to the Bunch. Please tell us more about you and your bananas.

Blue Java banana is likely the plant you are looking for. The extent of the blue coloring can vary within the variety. Some more blue than others. Just do not buy an "ice cream" TC plant. You will get a Namwah. Several varieties of bananas can have a blue/silver coloring on their leaves & bunches. Namwah and Orinoco are examples

There is a forum here called nana? Is that correct in what you're saying?

Thanks

Get one from a forum member that has a verified Blue Jave. Send a PM to Tytaylor77. Also, HMelendez has a couple of blue java producing bunches now ( I think). May be, he will post a picture of his bunches for you. .... I also have a real deal Blue Java, but due to the hard winter (2017/2018), my mat is still recovering.

Bananas that fruit do not grow well in Ohio's climate.
Bananas are tropical
If you got the plant you wanted expect it to mature enough to flower in 3-5 years and quite frankly it is not worth the expense .

Possibly some generous person will sell you some fruit and send it to you.
