Thanks all , shes almost 15 months. She only does conformation. My Rottie though is the best ever ,outstanding behavior, does agility, marvelous obedience and a weight pull wiinner as well as certified therapy dog. I was lucky to get out of what I put in to them both.

Congratulations on the lovely girl - what breed is she Bob - she looks like a hound of some kind? In another lifetime I used to breed and show my own german shepherds, show boxers for a friend, and do obedience with the sheps and a fantastic airdale cross.

Never had the opportunity to see a Greater Swiss Mountain dog but she looks gorgeous! Zuki is now mature and about 140lbs - so strong but so gentle. All the weight has gone on the shoulders and neck, and the local workers give him a wide berth because of his size and looks. Little do they know that the small Dominican street dog is the ferocious one who would bite them given the chance! Haha!

I'll try to dig some up but after work today going to see Victoria Stillwell at local theater....do you get her show there? Tommorow final prep for Vac at Marthas Vineyard(staying on Chappaquiddick actually) so don't think I'm being rude if I'm unable to post back.
I tool Sebastian the Rottie for a herding lesson and he did ok but I didn't persue it because I wouldn't be able to practice. Still I've always enjoyed watching dogs work in any capacity.

We get her show on cable here, that's wild that you have to go to a theater to see it!

I'll start with a creative cropping project I did.

Mitchel you have the wrong idea. I see her show on Animal Planet. She lives in NY now and is appearing live tonight down the street from me......

Ohh, ok! Duh :ha: I've never seen her live and don't know if she does any shows here.

Thanks Patty, she really enjoys doing agility. It ranks right up there with playing ball and eating!

Mitchel , was a good time last night but....... was a whole lot of film clips of the TV series. A few basic training exercises with local shelter dogs that amazed those who can't train a dog because........well because some just don't get it. And more film clips of the show. She now is based in Atlanta after living in NY and NJ for years. Probably could have found better entertainment for the $90 I spent for the 2 tickets.

I'm very impressed that your dogs do the weave poles. My behemoths will only do them if I have some food in front of their noses. Good at jumping over walls and through hoops etc. though.

Hmm, sounds like she's taking advantage of her fame. Thats too bad.

We have been training and competing in agility for 3 years I think now, and she loves everything about it! She's pretty good in the weaves, almost as fast as the Border Collies. The one thing that she usually has over most other dogs is her weave entrances, she very rarely misses! We have a 2 day agility trial this weekend out in the desert, should be fun.

Speaking of big dog and weaves, here is a video I took a couple years ago at the Invitationals in Long Beach CA. This is MACH Mr Bo Jangles the Great Dane. Real fun to watch!

Bob,
I heard you mention 'swiss mountain dog' in another thread, and almost posted to ask there, more about the dog. I have a beautiful Great pyrennesse. he's solid white, with pink skin, and wonderful personality. Also a swiss dog breed. He's a rescue in a sort of way...explain more if asked. but great dog. Congratulations on your win. The photo you show...i can see why won...great conformation. Wow! mine has spotted nose, so no showdog. But if you could ONLy win on personality...Leonardo 'DaVinci...is a winner by far :)

(i will try to have Nichole place picture of him here later, she's not home)

I remember when I first got him, he'd been caged as pup and about 2 when I got him. We had sooo much room for him to run in he played constantly. (He was at the studio all day) Never got to be puppy I guess. Anyway, we gave him all kinds of toys.
I caught him asleep (after playing himself to death) on the floor draped out...with a tennis ball inside each side of his droopy lips...I ran for camera to take picture but he'd already moved before I could get the shot. dern! But it would have been one of those 'America's funniest video shots' had I been able to get it. :)
