I've got a seedling Helen's Hybrid and the stem and underside to the leaves are very red. I don't even know if mine is a Helen's Hybrid

Here photo Pup Musa sp. Helen's Hybrid. It is received from a parent plant. Presence of red colour can prevails at plants of this kind which are grown up from seeds?

The tops of the leaves do not look that red on my seedling, just the stem and underside of the leaves. I wish mine did look like that.
Your pup looks like a musa sikkimensis 'red form' to me.

I have absolutely got confused. This plant grows at us while without the name. It is a pity that parent plants and have not blossomed at us, but have grown very high, stem was 4,5-5 metres. Considerable presence wax on stem. Under the form of bananas it would be possible to define and an accessory of this plant. And to external signs while to make it it is difficult. At whom else what opinions, what is it?

Sikkimensis seems likely to me as well after seeing the pup.

Means it is similar on Sikkimensis more. At me grows usual Musa sikkimensis, it considerably differs from it. At it other form of sheet, and also psudostem. If it Sikkimensis it is more probable Musa Sikkimensis red tiger, manipur. At a forum I saw photo Musa Sikkimensis red tiger, have compared, but it seemed to me that it too a little another, is differences.

Yes, Red Tiger is what I meant. I had some seeds of that one once but they never germinated.

Scot, I too think that it nevertheless is more similar on Musa sp. Helen's Hybrid, my opinion. But we can precisely learn it only after flowering and occurrence of fruit. Here at a forum, I do not remember at what user, I saw in gallery Musa Sikkimensis red tiger. It is not similar to this kind. At mine it is a lot of wax on stem and when the plant becomes more senior it appears more, considerably. Here a photo. The waxy stem: http://www.bananas.org/gallery/watermark.php? file=16566&size=1 (http://www.bananas.org/gallery/showphoto.php? photo=16566) And the form of sheet seems to me a bit another. I am not a pity I can find here and in the Internet, a photo of adult plant Musa Sikkimensis red tiger with a flower and fruit. Kyle, I have looked your gallery. You daj giant has some similarity. You have its photo in the daytime? It blossomed at you?

Sorry no photo of it in the day time, but it did have the recurved leaf base like in the close up. I can't remember if the other sikkimensis hybrids had that also, but they probably have that too. Also there seems to be so much variation just within one batch of helens hybrid(and the others) it makes IDing tough.
I planted Helens hybrid, Daj Giant, sikkimensis X paradisica, and 'Balboa Park' at my family's place in Mexico, so hopefully I'll get some pictures of the blooms for ID.

New leaf. It is visible on the top part of sheet to steam of claret stains and colouring of the bottom party.

Andrey, my 'Helen's Hybrid' has a pretty waxy pseudostem as well as red coloration on the top of the leaves. Yours looks like 'Helen's Hybrid' to me! My 'Red Tiger' sikkimensis doesn't have much, if any wax on the pseudostem. My 'Daj Giant' doesn't have any reddish coloration on the top of the leaves, except for the petiole.
Nice-looking greenhouse!! Yours? Thanks,
Frank

Thanks Frank, we have planted again this plant in a greenhouse, it by sight seems small, but it in a pot sits 4 years. I will hope that he will have time to blossom, before will grow to a greenhouse ceiling. And I have dug out an old root and cut, everyone with the big kidney, I will land them in pots.:drum::0517:
