I thought that the fruit was more lady finger sized, but those are much larger than the ones I have seen in San Diego.

Scot,
Check out the picture of the Goldfinger on the Agristarts website . . . they are as big as the grocery variety.

Bob -- mat is 2.5 yrs old. Fruited late due to irrigation problem in spring. Yes the Goldfinger is supposed to be bigger than my bunch. This is the second bunch from this mat. Expect next 2 bunches in July and September as the 2 follow-on pups are pretty big.

ZUZU - Chloe is overscritched as it is. Love it that we both say scritch.

Chong -- cold snap stopped the plumping and lenthening. Still got really good tasting naners anyway.

Tog Tan -- go get some more dogs now!!!! I went dogless for 4 years between my 2 German Shepards and I always regret it. This crazy Labrador Chloe is so much fun we are continually amazed with this breed. BTW - she came from the same backyard breeder in West Palm Beach that the little pup in the movie "Marley and Me" came from. They could be cousins.

Does she eat Mangoes as well?

Nick

Chloe stuffed herself on Duncan mangos from my tree, and from a basket I bought at Erickson farms. You know the place? It's right up the road from you in Canal Point.

Dale Erickson sold me a Duncan tree 3 years ago, and last year had my first real crop - 14 fruit. It's only 5 ft tall and produces one of the best tasting mangos with no fiber. Big yellow skin fruit weighing over a pound.

Dale also has a bunch of banana mats but he sells them only under contract to a local grocer - not to the public.

The 5th hand of the Goldfinger ripened up yesterday, and breakfast today was cheerios with 4 naners chopped up. Chloe ate 2 - she gobbles them so fast it is amazing she doesn't choke.

Later she tried to snatch the naner peels out of my wife's hand as she tossed them in the trash.
