Hello from Texas. I have had banana plants for over 40 years. Got them from my G'pa who had been growing them since the mid 1950's. He bought several plants and moved them when he changed locations. Mine came from those original plants. They don't always produce each year but we enjoy watching them when they do. Lots of fun for our kids and now for the grands. I want to try to grow the gros michel when I find a supplier. I don't know what the ones I have are.

FHIA 17 is supposed to be a good Gros Michel replacement. More hardy.
