She joined our board on 11-11-2007 and eager as she is to learn everything
about bananas she made one post after the other. How addicted to bananas
can one be. Today she passed the 1000 postmark and is heading towards
Jarred as being the top-poster, but I think he don't mind:)

Anyways, congratulations Samantha and keep those posts coming.

thanks guys..and i have learned a lot!! and i have ment some very wonderful, interesting and helpful people who are just as much( if not more) of a plant freak( thats a compliment) as i am. plants are a constant reminder that life will find a way. and when something goes wrong, just wait awhile, and it will turn out right. this site and the people here have brought to my attention that it isnt ok to be alone all the time, that you do need people to fulfill your life and that its nice to have someone to talk to about things that matter.( i still want to work with dead people!) i have issues being with large groups of people(3 or more is a group to me) i have always been this way. yall are the best banana bunch of people that i have ever associated with. yall kind of grew on me. lol. :jumpingonbednaner: heres to all of yall,( even the ones that think im cracked) you all should be put in the hall of fame.....for putting up with me. lol! love yall lotts!!!

its all the trees i planted...wait a minute, you have more trees then i do , it should be 85* f in your woods! lol. i am clueless in sparta, again. i know if you go outside your feet freeze to the concrete. this weather is wacked, my jasmine froze the other nite, now the blooms are ready to pop open like its a warm summer day. how are your roses doing? look like sticks poking out the ground like mine? lol.

heres something for you randy. it came in my daves garden weekly, its the flower of the week.( this is the rose that started the ones i sent you)

Japanese Rose
Rosa rugosa
The rugosa rose hails from the coastal areas of Japan and Korea. Its name alludes to its distinctive, wrinkly leaves. Like many species roses, it withstands black spot and mildew with aplomb, and thrives in poor soil. After putting on a show of fragrant blooms in pink or white tones, it sets large, gold or orange-colored hips making it a good plant for wildlife habitats. Adding to the list of virtues, rugosas are also salt-tolerant.

Numerous varieties have been introduced since the late 1800s, when several hybridizers focused their efforts on creating new crosses using this beautiful healthy, vigorous growing species.

It will be interesting to see how they do this summer. I have them in the ground and gave a couple to friends, so your generousity is abounding!!! As far as temps go, looks like you are sliding and I am rising. Should meet about 40-42F!!! Think that is supposed to be my average high for this week. Low average in upper 20's. maybe some of the white stuff later in the week... UUGGHH!!!
