and believe me I know how to conduct research even with a card catalog since my 1st degree was in history. But I absolutely can't find a list of plants that are thrilled to exist in Florida's full sun year round. I've been here for a few years now--started in Jacksonville and now in Titusville--so have some practical experience under my belt. I know my DC in Jacksonville grew robustly in only midday sun; veggies appreciated the same conditions. It's warmer down here and I have a lot of dappled shade where grass and weeds grow. (How anyone got these huge tree past adolescence mystifies me.) I think I know what to plant there.
But what plants can take full sun in July thru August? (BTW, I've figured out why my fellow Yankee neighbors don't garden; they're convinced you need full sun to grow a tomato. Haha! Mine only get 2 to 4 hours daily in compost and are alive but not bearing now. Planted in my one full sun area they'd have cooked by the end of May.)
