Default Newbie intro and question

Hi, my name is Bianca and I live in Miami. I have some Ice Creams that I purchased about 2 years back now and twice already the stalk of bananas that came out just withered on the tree. There were few hands to start and they never ripened. And here I thought Bananas were about the easiest thing to grow down here. I do pretty well with other stuff though. I have some mulberries, avocado, mango, peach, lychee and canistel. I am hoping some of you banana experts can provide some answers for me.
Thanks.

Welcome!

There are several successful 'naner growers on this site in your area. I'm sure you'll be hearing from them over the next week or two. In the meantime, check out this guide I wrote awhile back:

Guide To Growing Fruiting Bananas In Temperate Climates
