Default Not Sumatrana X

I purchased a Sumatrana X Gran Nain and a Musa Zebrina from Florida Hill in 2013. The plants that I got are healthy, but I'm not sure if I got what I ordered.

Given the source, I don't know why you would think it would be the right thing! Maybe Dwarf Red, but not Sumtrana X. I got a Super Dwarf Cavendish that they sold as FHIA-18, and something yet to be identified that was supposed to be Kluai Khai and definitely wasn't.

It does kind of look like my reds. I should know better the prices were just too good. Caveat Emptor "let the buyer beware"

This is my Sumatrana x Gran Nain. It looks quite different from yours with more pronounced wine colored splotches.

This one is only 10 weeks old. The corm had beautiful root development and I probably should have planted it straight into the ground, but in a pot it will be easier to protect from the cold this upcoming winter. Come spring it will be happy and healthy in the ground.
