Leaves from my neighbors tree. This is the person who gets all concerned about a few leaves from my banana plants hanging over the fence into his yard.Do you think he cares about all his leaves in my yard.Strange people

Must be a common problem. I believe my rear neighbor killed my Ruby Glow with weed killer. I watched it die from the parts on her side of the fence working it's way down the plants vines to the base. A week later I overheard her talking about my bananas blocking the light from her small garden which she planted years after my bananas were full grown. I now try to keep the leaves away from her side, sometimes cutting them in half, sometimes removing whole plants that are leaning in her direction.

I take care of a rental property.I planted a passion fruit vine on the fence ,I built, that separates the .yard from the neighbors. Any of the vine that grows on their side they flip it over the fence. Now that's fine if someone doesn't want my plants growing on their side. The thing is they have plants from their side growing on mine and water draining from their garage onto my property. If they are so concerned about things why don't they take care of their crap,it really pisses me off.Self centered or what.

They are everywhere. Sure wish some people would find something to put some enjoyment into their life. Fortunate for us we found a 5 acre spot with mostly friendly neighbors. Hope it doesn't get any worst.

There's nothing better than a good neighbour war. :D
But in all seriousness. Buy some land in Australia and your nearest neighbours might be hundreds of miles away... :)

Tony, I suggest you try being supper nice to them. Maybe it will spook them a little and they'll go out of their way to avoid pushing you over the edge. ;)

There will not be a problem as long as they don't say anything . They haven't yet but they have cut passion vines and banana leaves.Again it doesn't bother me if they cut plants ,what bothers me is how they only see themselves ,tunnel vision

Fortunately my neighbors seem to like my tropical plants. Hopefully it stays that way!

Tony I have to laugh about how neigborhood problems differ from one part of the country to the other. I try very hard not to use chemicals etc in any season but since we are on a hill, when the winter comes I have to use salt etc. on the driveway or I'd never be able to leave my property. When it snows again the salt ends up in the neighbor's front yard with the newly shoveled snow and when the 5-6' piles finally melt in the spring and of course I have to reseed the burned sections of my lawn and hers: my 89 sometimes 87 y/o next door lady neighbor Marie (she's never sure how old she is from year to year! lol ) Leaves are never a problem for people here in West Pa - just a fact os life - evey year before you know it it's Fall again and they are everywhere moving in all directions in every storm!! - sometime two feet deep! ... we just blow/rake them into the street and for 8 weeks every Fall the boro comes with their vacuum truck/machines and collects all those raked into the street or on the street edge of yards and then mulches and takes them to a wooded park area where anyone can go and get free compost/mulch all year long!! As beautiful as CA is when I have visited it a dozen or so times - I love home better - God washes all our dust away once or twice a week (or more) with rain!! ok secret ... shhhh ... I haven't washed my car in over three years!!

If it was me, I'd be tempted to start growing Saba.
