Good Lord Mitchel, don't get him started about how New Jersey grows the best tomatoes in the world! :ha:

I can only imagine what he'll say about the ketchup! What a boaster! http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo193/hollyberrylady08/2nd%20album/emo1.gif

As a matter of fact New Jersey tomatoes are the finest on earth! Yes I'll be the first to admit I'm a tomato snob and the season's coming to an end here. It's not just me though and people from other states have asked for and recieved some from me. The combination of soils and summer climate are that good. I was going to order some for me and Mitchel.... till I saw the price. How ridiculous. I've been giving all my surplus to an Italian and Greek couple who make about the best sauce though and have quite a supply stocked up for winter alonng with pesto of course so maybe I'll be sending some out for you guys to enjoy and share in my snobbery!:ha:

Sorry, Bob, I have lived and worked in 4 different countries and again in different parts therein and
heard the claim, that "our tomatoes" are the best many times.

The fact is, that local tomatoes are the best everywhere. The reason for that is, that "at home"
the vine-ripened tomatoes have the shortest route from vine to mouth. :ha:

Just my quarter's (inflation) worth. But I am sure that your tomatoes are almost as fine tasting as
mine. ;)

Best,
Olaf
