Labor day is harvest time for my avocado tree and I got more fruit this year than I did last. Each fruit was about 2.5lbs and I had 25 fruits

I don't grow avocados for profit, my house just came with a tree and I give the fruit away. You can only eat so much guacamole

In Brazil it's eaten sliced with cream & sugar for breakfast; but the salad was always one of my favorites (with red onion, olive oil & vinegar).
Makes for a great sandwich, too! (on caraway rye). :nanadrink:
I never did get around to trying the avocado ice cream though.

I probably only eat one avocado off the tree and I turn it into guacomole.

There is a variety called "Mrs. Holland" that may be hardy to 8b temps.
