Like the post says.. who chooses the advertisements on the forum? The reason I ask is one of them is for a franchise I own. It's totally cool to see the add there. I put my zip code in and up came my website. Very nice :)

Correct, that's Google. Google AdSense I believe is the name of the specific service. Google picks ads to be displayed on websites and pays some money to the owners of the website.

Yes, and Ads are picked by personal interests on Google, so every user have own Ads shown.

So the ads I see are tailored to me. This is why I see the Ameriprise advertisement. I was wondering why all the ads were of things I am interested in. That makes sense. Thank you very much!

I keep seeing ads about horticulture, vacations in Croatia and seed suppliers. However the one I really like is located in the uppermost right corner of the screen. Chestnuts by Harvey. :)

I use Add Block Plus for Firefox so the only add I see his Harvey's.

But it left the Sponsor windows there, they are just empty... argh. Thanks for this app though. Now let's see if it removes the ads from GMail.
Yeah, Jarred, it doesn't really know everything yet... But that's just a matter of time. :D

One thing that's funny though is when the targeted ad is exactly opposite of your interests. For example, I like growing cold hardy palm trees. One advertisement that I get often is, "Buy fake Palm Trees here!" Or something to that effect.
