Real simple. I don't know what it is. Was told it is winter hardy in 8b and it is an ornamental. That may mean it comes back from freezes. I have had it about one month. I have four pics and can take more if needed.

Thanks,

OK I guess I'll post them in the gallery. I'm a bit puzzled as I see other post with Pics.

100% positive, without a doubt, the plant you've listed as 'Need ID' is an Ensete Ventricosum 'Maurelii.' This is a common ornamental variety sometimes known as the 'Abyssinian Red Banana.' I don't know if they're cold hardy in your area...I'd check/question the site before trying to overwinter them in your area. Best of luck!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

This is really great. I'll research it and next spring we will have part of the answer to if it is winter hardy here. I say part since I feel that it needs about a decade of relaibility to truely be said it is winter hardy.
Thanks again.

PS Can you point me to the instructions on how to link the pictures to the thread.

Once an image is in your gallery, bring it up, copy the 'code for html sites' and paste it in your post.

That looks like a Delosperma cacti to me. Does it flower?
