Hermit crabs are pretty cool. I always wanted one but never did end up having one. They have little kiosks at the malls here that sell them.

We see hermit crabs all over Mexico and central america...from tiny, tiny ones to the one in the video...
When I lived in Costa Rica in the 70's, we could throw our compostable stuff out the door and it would be gone in 10 minutes!
Sometimes the shell gatherers get their booty home and have some real stinkers...as there were tenents in some of their finds.
have fun...

My X brought a few home that he found, I think on the beach in FL. I had them for a few years kept in a 10 gal aquarium. They liked pnut butter. I put some bigger shells in there for them & it was funny watching one back into a shell that was too big for him & try to walk around w/ it LOL. He eventually moved to a smaller one.

I guess if you can't afford the payments on your house, you'll need to move back into your old apartment LOL :ha::ha::ha:

Thanks a lot now I want one too :) Hermit crabs are very interesting animals and they are cheap too. Not actual crabs though. Ive seen them all over the place in the bahamas from very big to very small. They live in the sand and in shallow (usually very calm) water. They can bite though!

Hermit Crabs are pretty cool. I had a couple as a kid, rather have some blue crabs hold the oil :^)
